VEKAY follows a model of self-performance on key facilities services, including the housekeeping services outlined in the Proposal. This implies that all housekeeping resources, including operatives and supervisors, will be our employees. This model has been evolved by VEKAY as a powerful answer to the facilities requirements in the Indian market. Typically, facility services are delivered either through direct, unsupervised contracts with local services providers or through a delivery structure supervised by (usually) multinational FM corporations. Both of these models have their distinct drawbacks – the former usually results in compromise in service standards and lack of an international standard approach to service delivery; and the latter often results in an expensive structure with multiple points of margin.
We are able to attract top industry talent as a result of the fact that we self-perform facilities services; and that we are facilities focused. We therefore hire resources with significant amount of experience. Typically, the resources proposed for will have adequate knowledge of their trade, including techniques, tools, chemicals / consumables and equipment, based on their experience.
